My Story:​

My name is Nicole and I am a certified Transformational Coach. I help women who struggle with stress and weight loss to feel BOLD an empowered in their bodies, find balance, and lose weight without the use of crazy diets, deprivation or unrealistic regimens. 


I have always been an active person who thrives on adventure. I was born and raised in Southern California and spent most of my time surfing, horseback riding, wake-boarding and camping. I relocated to Northern Nevada with my husband in 2013 and as much as I missed the beach, I fell in love with the mountain life and all it has to offer.


My health and wellness journey started in early 2015 after I broke my pelvis while snowboarding. While my pelvis was healing, I wasn't able to do much of anything, which was really hard for me as I was used to being on the go constantly. I began to feel sorry for myself and turned to food for comfort. As a result, I gained quite a bit of weight and my anxiety and stress started to manifest itself in my body as high blood pressure. Once I was cleared by my doctor, I began an at home workout routine that taught me the basics of how to eat healthy. That was quite a stretch for me as I had never really paid any attention to what I ate and my active lifestyle compensated for my lack of "working out". After a lot of hard work, I lost about 30 pounds and felt back to my old self. Better, in fact. My blood pressure was still bouncing around as I hadn't yet learned how to manage my stress and anxiety, but physically, I felt on top of the world. I decided to start helping others through their own weight loss journey and that's when I fell in love with Health Coaching.


I took a break from coaching in 2017 after getting pregnant with our first child. After our son was born, my stress and anxiety levels hit an all time high. At one point my blood pressure hit 182/112 with the use of medication. As a result, my husband and I made the decision for me to resign from my full time school district position to focus on our son and my health. It was then that we both knew that it was time to pursue my love of health coaching, full time. I enrolled at Health Coach Institute in June of 2018, and to say that doing so changed my life would be an understatement. Going through the Health Coach Certification program at HCI was one of the best choices I have ever made for myself, both in regards to my career and my own personal health. I discovered that I was still holding on to emotional eating from when I fractured my pelvis and I learned how to work through it. I learned more about where my stress and anxiety was coming from and how to control it rather than the other way around. I learned about the importance of loving myself and how to do so without sacrificing my family, which has helped me become an even better wife and mother. It has taught me how to identify my unhealthy habits and replace them with healthy ones, and it has given me an amazing foundation on how to teach others to do the same.
